As Teatro Ragayano’s Artisitic Director, she has been immersed in establishing and sustaining the culture of theater in her hometown of Ragay, Camarines Sur.
On December 27, 2015, she co-founded Teatro Ragayano, a semi-professional community theater based at the Ragay National Agricultural and Fisheries School, and staged Gamgam, her adaptation of Carlos A. Arejola’s experimental play Mga Ibong Hapo sa Mainit na Alas Siyete. She played the lead role of Sepa in Kuwintas, Carlos A. Arejola’s adaptation of Linda Ty-Casper’s The Transparent Sun, staged in September 2017. For the third season, TR staged her back-to-back eco-musicals Sulog nin Pagkamoot, which she read at the Women Playwrights International Philippines (WPIP) Readathon at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on March 23, 2018; and The More of Life, an adaptation of Trina Paulus’ Hope for the Flowers.
Further, Si Salvador sa Kahadian nin Bakawan (with illustrations by Jzahn R. Isayas), her story for children advocating for care and preservation of Ragay Gulf and marine resources was performed during the RNAFS National Reading Month’s Araw ng Pagbasa in October 2020.
She is also a stage actor. She performed as Sisa in Bernardo O. Aguay, Jr’s Sakristan Mayor at the 13th Tanghal National University and Community-Based Theater Festival, Alaminos City Sports Complex, Alaminos City, Pangasinan on November 4-5, 2019, and as a granddaughter in her interpretation of Honesto M. Pesimo Jr.’s Tandang Sora poem during the launch of his book Sa Ngaran nin Aki at Kape Naga, Naga City on February 01, 2020. She is also committed to collaborating with other theater practitioners and enthusiasts. On March 30, 2019, she co-founded Arte Pandananon, born out of Odeza Sy and Daphne L. Avila’s Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme Project, Cultural Heritage Theater Workshop.
During the COVID ’19 pandemic, she wrote a number of plays, eight of which became winners on their own. Dagom, a flashplay about Ragay COVID ’19 vaccination efforts, is among the ten plays selected to be performed in Sining Banwa’s PedXing Kolab Series 4 on November 17-21, 2021. Hamog sa Hatinggabi is chosen for consideration (awaiting final verdict from the referees) in Agos: Refereed Journal ng Malikhaing Akdang Pampaniitkan, Sentro ng Wikang Filipino-UP Diliman. Her monologue, Wakas Na Nga Ba? SI Kamatayan sa Gitna Ng Pandemya was chosen to be read dramatically during the Showcase of Talents at the Gemino Abad Seminar Workshop of the Likhaan UP Institute of Creative Writing on September 22-29, 2021. Litanya ng mga Manggagawa was among the top ten plays selected to be read dramatically for the PedXing Kolab Series 3 via Sining Banwa FB Page on January 15, 2021 and brought her as a fellow for dula to the 14th Palihang Rogelio Sicat on May 24-29, 2021.Tagubhang sa Daghan won first place in the Gawad Obrang Literaturang Bikolnon (GOLB) in May 2020. At the in-betweens, A Pandemic Monologue and Serendipity were chosen to be included in the self-learning modules (SLMs) for Grade 9 in Special Program in the Arts of the Department of Education (DepEd). Kawat ni Juana, a monologue on child abuse was performed by Rebecca Jaira E. Paz of Teatro Ragayano at the Sining Paghilom, Project Sumpay by Sining Banwa on July 13, 2020.
