Karen Bongawan – Linganay is an alumni artist of the LSU Teatro Guindegan. She holds a Master of Business Administration in La Salle University – Ozamiz. She acted in majority of the plays of the company including the Belae (2007), Maraming Salamat Po (2008), The Audition (2008), Squeezability (2009), Sari-saring Galaw (2010), Antigone (2010), Ang Alamat ng Lamok (2012), Kasal – Sakal (2019), Extra Virgin Love Fest (2019).
She acted in In Silence at the Fringe of Tanghal 5: National University Theater Festival in Bacolod City last February 2011,Tanghal 6: National University Theater Festival in General Santos City last February 2012, Tanghal 7: National Theater Festival in Cagayan De Oro City last February 2013. She also performed during Sayaw Pinoy 2012 in Ozamiz City last March 2011. She underwent dance training with Alden Lugnasin (Ballet Philippines) and Myra Beltran (Dance Forum_MB). She also attended international festivals such as Lintas Nusantara (2019) in Singapore, International Theatre Festival (2016) in Bihar, India. She also underwent different theater workshops such as Improvisation Theater Workshop, The Use of Kambayoka Theater Form in Arts – Based Teaching, Non – Verbal Acting Workshop and Rasabox Acting Workshop.
She comes from Clarin, Misamis Occidental. Presently, she is a faculty member of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management in La Salle University – Ozamiz City.
