Norbs Portales is a Freelance Actor for Stage, TV & Film, Acting Coach, Director, Organizer-Leader, a Workshop Facilitator, and Trainer. He is a Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) Senior Artist-Teacher.
As an actor, Norbs was part of PETA’s International Production “Infanta” for the Theater Global Fest (May 2009) in Stuttgart, Germany. He was the only Filipino artist in the 4th ASSITEJ Korea International Artist Residency Programme (November 2011- January 2012) in South Korea together with fellow artists from South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Japan. He was part of PETA’s “A Game of Trolls”, “Tagu-taguan, Nasaan ang Buwan?” and the comedy musical on Federalism –“Charot!”. He was part of several online performances during the pandemic.
He was nominated for Male Featured Performance in a Play for his acting in PETA’s Tempest Reimagined in the 2017 GawadBuhay for the Performing Arts.
He is the founder of Isprikitik Musical Improv, the only musical improvisation troupe in Metro Manila.
He is currently PETA’s curriculum head for adult courses leading in the development of online courses and training for the company. He also led an Online Creative Campaign on Promoting Positive Parenting and Discipline as its Festival Artistic Director. He is presently Chairman of Forum for Theater Training and Education for the International Theater Institute – Philippine Centre.
He also conducts private Stage, TV, and Film acting classes for aspiring and professional actors.
