He is Bikolano poet, singer-composer, and theater artist. He co-founded the An Banwa: Kultura buda Arte kan Tabaco/ABKAT (culture and arts-based organization in Tabaco City, Albay) in 2005 and was president until 2009. As head of the Theater Arts Department, he directed the original play Sikat: Pasok of Tigok as the organization’s debut project, and Clodualdo del Mundo’s Neon. He also wrote and staged plays based on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals performed in selected barangays in Tabaco. He was the over-all head of ABKAT’s Pagtanyog: An Alternative and Original Albay Performances from 2005-2017. In 2012, he established the Burabod Artists in Bicol University as student-based theater organization but in 2019 opted to create it a community theater. Extending culture from language and place to spirituality, he wrote and staged plays in Burabod Artists to promote love for God and for others. These plays were Imbitasyon (2012), Nata Maaskad an Dagat (2013), An Mamundong Hade (2014), Burak (2014), Bus (2014), Kahoy (2015), Hunang Kagsadiri (2015), and Sa Pamitisan kan Mayon (2016). His play Nag-iisa (2020) and (Dis) Connection (2021) were staged in the Pista nin Teatrong Bikolnon Theater Conference at the Legazpi Ibalong Centrum in 2020 and at the Sining Banwa’s Pasakalye Black Box in 2021. During the pandemic, he created the Burabod Online Express, an online monologue in the Burabod Artists FB Page. Here he produced Napupungaw, Ulakit, and An Positibo. His play Positibo was also staged in Sining Banwa’s 2012 Pedxing. He won the Best One-Act Play in Bikol and Best One-Act Play for Children in Bikol in the 2010 Premio Tomas Arejola Para sa Literaturang Bikolnon. His published works were Pahuraw (book of rawitdawit, osipon and dula, 2012), Pamibi (chapbook of Bikol plays, 2014), and An Mamundong Hade (book of Bikol plays, 2015).
