Rudy Reveche is the Performing Arts Director of Colegio San Agustin; Chairman of the NOPSSCEA Cultural Task Force; President of Teatrokon: The Western Visayas Theatre Network & was a former artistic director of Kanlaon Theater Guild and Executive Committee Member of the Committee on Dramatic Arts of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). He co-founded with Fr. Mike Carreon the Christian Community Theater in his home town,Murcia, in the 1980’s, and the Teatro Amorseco with Ruel Calansingin dubbed as “Cultural Ambassadors” of the Province of Negros Occidental. He is a recipient of the Bro. Alexis Award of the University of St. La Salle and the Gawad Pasidungog of the Province of Negros Occidental for his contribution to the development of the arts and culture in the province.
Theatre credits as playwright/director include: “Papa Isio: Tingog sang Kadam-an” of the CSA-B Kanlaon Theatre Guild and Dance Company, entry to “Ikalawang Tagpo” 2nd National Theatre festival at the CCP in 1996; “Karul-an” of UNO-R Kasadyahan Dance Company, entry to Duag Teatrokon: The Western Visayas Theatre festival at the University of San Agustin-Iloilo and “Dayon: A Showcase of University and Community Theaters of Western Visayas at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)”, all in 2003; ”Panakayon sa Palanub-lion”, entry to the World Theater Institute at the CCP in 2006.
He has collaborated with Peque Gallaga in Handurawan Community Theatre’s “Handurao Sang Cauntao”, “Candide” and “Pangakapkap”; with LCC’s Lilia Tacardon in production such as “Restless Heart”, “Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio” and “Ang Gugma nga Indi Mapunggan”; Louie Dormido in Kabataang Bodabilista’s “Ang Tatay Mo Nga Kalbo (Ionesco’s “The Bald Soprano”)” & Tanya Lopez’ in “Walang Iwanan” and “Pasalubong”. Rudy brought to Negros stage notable productions such as “Lysistrata”, “One Voice”, “Eyeball”, “Kaaway Sa Sulod”, “Krimen ni Kristo”, Antigone”, “Godspell”, among others.
