Miss Rosalie Shariff is the theatre moderator of the Western Mindanao State University Theatre Guild. She has attended local, regional, national, and international workshops on culture and the arts and has been a resource speaker in different seminars engaging the community. She has also brought home several awards from local to national competitions as a coach for short plays, radio dramas, short films, and other arts-related competitions.
As the artistic director of several theatre plays and short films, she produced six short films as entries for the different regional and national film festivals – Gyuyod, Kyokok, Angat, Hagas-Hagas, Juga, and Mono. In addition, she has written numerous inspiring theatre plays and short film pieces for competitions and performances. She considers herself an artist with great power of influence.
Her artistic excellence is a living testament to her enthusiasm in serving the people as a community leader, inspiring students to learn as a teacher, providing directions and guidance as an organizer, and offering a particular and unique perspective on the work of art from the inside out and outside in as a researcher.
Miss Shariff is happy and blessed to have directed, performed, and written several performances and films. These experiences will always be cherished deep within her heart and mind.
