SHÉ MAALA is a Senior Artist-Teacher of PETA. She started with its youth arm, the Metropolitan Teen Theater League (MTTL). Doing theater and cultural work since she was 14, she later on headed the PETA-Women’s Theater Program and worked with other development organizations and educational institutions.

Aside from her artistic training in PETA, Shé attended workshops and intensive training from Stella Adler Studio, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Robin Aaronson from Lessac Institute. Some of her theater credits in PETA include Under My Skin, Bona, Pamana, Noli at Fili Dekada Dos Mil, Palasyo ni Valentin, Batang Rizal, Hans Christian Andersen Must Be Filipino, Agnoia, Dreamweavers, and Libby Manaoag Files. She was also part of DLSU Harlequin Theater Guild’s production of FISHHAIRWOMAN.

Her theater training led her to work with film, television, advertising and events. Shé is an advocate of women’s rights, children’s rights and environment protection.
